Resort History

Discover Our Journey

The concept for Ecotel Dahab Bay View Resort began in 2004, envisioned by Professor Dr. Suad Kafafi. She aimed to create a unique therapeutic resort in Dahab, one of Egypt’s top tourist destinations. The resort was designed to ensure that all rooms have sea views and was built into the mountain over 6 levels, emphasizing its integration with the stunning natural landscape. This structure was executed with the expertise of a German consulting engineer, emphasizing eco-friendly and therapeutic qualities due to its unique location.

2008

Dahab Bay View Resort

Originally opened on January 1, 2008, the resort started as Dahab Bay View, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Aqaba and the Sinai Mountains.

2009

Mercure Bay View-Accor

Renamed and rebranded under the Mercure chain from October 2009, enhanced its services and amenities to align with international hospitality standards.

2014

Soul Dahab Red Sea

Managed by Soul Dahab Red Sea, the resort focuses on blending traditional hospitality with modern comforts.

2015

Ecotel Dahab Bay View

Rebranded as Ecotel Dahab Bay View on August 1, 2015, it continues to operate under the owning company, emphasizing eco-friendly practices and sustainable tourism.
